Short answer

Service Autopilot suits companies that want CRM, billing, marketing automation and routing in one system and are happy with annual contracts and a sign-up fee. Route optimization starts on Pro at $199 a month; Smart Maps routing is Elite or priced on request.

Crewtide suits teams that want the weekly plan done well without changing their whole business system: month to month available, no setup fee, route optimization on every plan, and a clear record of what moved and who to tell.

Pricing compared

Service Autopilot publishes three tiers. “All pricing is based on annual subscription rates”, and each priced plan adds a sign-up fee that isn’t published.

Crewtide Core$49 per technician/mo billed annually ($59 monthly), no setup feeOffice users freeYes, every plan

Service Autopilot doesn’t publish what extra mobile users cost, so a 10-technician total isn’t possible from the public page. Crewtide Core for 10 technicians is $490 a month billed annually or $590 month to month.

Where Service Autopilot is stronger

  • The whole business. CRM, estimates, billing, marketing automation and a client portal, with a two-way QuickBooks sync.
  • Master routes for lawn crews. Pre-built master routes and recurring jobs suit weekly mowing and maintenance routes.
  • Big routing jobs. Smart Maps (Elite or on request) handles up to 10,000 stops and can plan around a target dollars-per-day figure.
  • Crew members on mobile licences. Crews are a first-class idea, with mobile-only licences.

Where Crewtide fits better

  • No contract required, no setup fee. Month to month is available and cancels any time; annual saves about two months.
  • Routing on every plan. Route optimization is part of Core, not a step up to a $199 tier.
  • Documented, visible planning. Find a spot, live checks and the change log show exactly what each move does and why it was made. Service Autopilot’s help center is behind a customer login, so we couldn’t confirm how its optimizer handles windows or multiple days.
  • A light layer you can add. Keep your current system for billing and plan the week in Crewtide.

Switching or adding Crewtide

  1. Export your customer list.Service Autopilot’s own article says list export is “turned OFF by default” and is an advanced feature, so you may need to ask their support to switch it on.
  2. Add the recurring rules.Cycle, usual days, service window, time on site and crew size, using the free template.
  3. Build a week in Crewtide’s trial.Compare it with your current master routes before you decide.
