Short answer

Upper fits fleets that plan routes day by day and want driver apps, customer notifications and proof of delivery: Starter $40, Professional $48 and Optimize $71 per user a month billed yearly. Recurring routes repeat a whole route on Optimize and up, and each route belongs to one date.

Crewtide fits service teams whose customers each have their own cycle (weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly) on the same route, plus windows and crew sizes, and who plan the whole week at once.

Upper Professional is the closest match on price, and adds time windows and notifications. Recurring routes on autopilot, the Zapier connector and the API are on Optimize. Upper’s own pages don’t agree on which plan includes some features (recurring routes, time windows, API), so confirm with them before you buy.

Where Upper is stronger

  • Driver app and notifications today. Offline mode, CarPlay and Android Auto, proof of delivery, tracking pages and quiet hours.
  • Delivery and multi-stop features. Capacity, service areas and up to two time windows per stop.
  • Service-friendly labels. Drivers can be called technicians and deliveries called service.

Where Crewtide fits better

  • Customer cycles on one route. Weekly, every-other-week and monthly customers on the same route land on the right weeks automatically. Upper repeats whole routes.
  • A week, not a date. Upper says “covering multiple days means creating one route per date.” Crewtide builds Monday to Friday (and night routes) in one pass.
  • Skills and crews. Upper’s help center says it “does not automatically match drivers to stops by certification or skill.” Crewtide keeps usual technicians and crew sizes on each customer.
  • The ripple and the record. Find a spot, live checks, reasons on every change and a To notify list.

Switching from Upper

  1. Export addresses or a route report.Upper exports addresses from a route and a detailed route plan report as CSV or XLS.
  2. Add cycles, usual days and windows.See the guide to biweekly and monthly schedules.
  3. Import and build a week in Crewtide’s 14-day trial.
