ServiceTrade is the better choice for commercial mechanical, HVAC and fire protection contractors who need assets, deficiencies, inspections, quotes and a customer portal in one platform. Pricing is on request, and unlimited office users are included.
Crewtide is the better choice when you want recurring visits placed on optimized routes automatically. ServiceTrade’s scheduling is map-assisted: its public pages don’t describe an automatic multi-technician route optimizer.

Where ServiceTrade is stronger
- Commercial service records. Equipment history, deficiencies, inspections and compliance workflows for fire protection.
- Quotes to invoices. Online quotes, advanced invoicing and a customer service portal (Premium and up).
- Recurring services tied to assets. Services attached to a location or asset with a scope and frequency, grouped into jobs when due.
- Customer-facing reports. Service Link sends branded before-and-after service emails.
Where Crewtide fits better
- Automatic weekly routing. Building the week places every due visit on a route with real drive times, windows, shifts and crew sizes. ServiceTrade’s Map Scheduler helps schedulers build routes by hand.
- The ripple, before you commit. Find a spot shows what a placement pushes back or bumps; every change is logged with a reason.
- Any recurring trade. Hood cleaning, grease traps, janitorial, pest and HVAC routes can share one board.
- Try it this week. Published prices and a 14-day trial with no card.
Using ServiceTrade and Crewtide together
ServiceTrade doesn’t publish steps for exporting locations and recurring services, so ask their support for a locations and recurring services export (Enterprise customers also have a data warehouse). Add usual days, windows and time on site, import into Crewtide, and carry published changes back from the change list. See also Crewtide for fire and safety inspections and HVAC maintenance.
Questions
How much does ServiceTrade cost?
ServiceTrade doesn’t publish prices. Every plan says “Request pricing”, and pricing is driven mainly by the number of technicians.
Does ServiceTrade optimize routes automatically?
Its public pages describe a Map Scheduler that shows jobs and technicians on a map so schedulers can build efficient routes, and Smart Assistants that recommend technicians and times. An automatic multi-technician optimizer isn’t documented publicly.
Is Crewtide good for fire inspection routes?
Yes for scheduling: annual, semiannual and monthly cycles, windows and technician assignments. Crewtide doesn’t record inspection results or deficiencies, so keep your inspection platform for those.
Can Crewtide replace ServiceTrade?
Only the weekly scheduling and routing. ServiceTrade’s assets, deficiencies, quotes and invoices stay where they are.
